 Subsurface Engineer/Well Completions Expert
(Oslo)


The PerForM™ project currently has the need for a Subsurface or Well Completions Expert/Engineer. This will be a lead role within the Monitoring Division and PerForM Project to develop, oversee and manage the installation and subsequent monitoring of the downhole system. The individual will manage or work together with the seismic survey crews after installation. The individual must have a solid backround in downhole and subsea completions. Good communication, organizational and project management skills are desirable.


Task(s) in Project: Installation, testing, specifications, qualification, wellhead junction interface, surface system, cable head, deck cables & wiring, mandrel & release mechanism, etc.


Estimated time: Temporary to permanent, key member of project group.


Education: B.S. or M.S in Petroleum Engineering. Offshore survival certified.


Work Experience: 15-20 years experience in well completions. Previous downhole tool design experience a plus.


Skills or Knowledge of: Should be an ‘expert’ in the field of downhole and/or subsea completions. Engineering and design of instrumentation for the downhole or subsea environments desired.


Languages: English, Norwegian.

Mechanical Engineer

(Oslo)

 

The PerForM™ project currently has the need for a mechanical design engineer. The individual must be able to work quickly with existing AutoCad Inventor 2D & 3D mechanical drawings and be able to produce new designs from concept. Good communication, organizational and project management skills are a must.

Task(s) in Project: Mandrel, Cable Head, Release Mechanism, Well Head Junction, etc.


Estimated time: Temporary to permanent, key member of project group.


Education: B.S. or M.S in Mechanical Engineering.


Work Experience: 5-10 years in a related mechanical design field. Previous downhole tool design or management experience a plus.


Skills or Knowledge of: Engineering and design of instrumentation for the downhole or subsea environments.  Autocad Inventor, Pro Engineer, Solid Works, Solid Edge, or other professional mechanical 3D design software.


Languages: English, Norwegian.

Project Manager

  • Oslo based

READ seeks a experienced project Manager, with excellent academic qualifications and broad project management experience within development and production of oil well equipment, to further solidify, grow and manage our Permanent in-well seismic monitoring with our selected partners. Candidates should possess a minimum of eight years project management experience as well as having a genuine interest in solving challenging technical issues. The position will oversee and lead electrical, optical and mechanical teams as well as procurement, planning and budget responsibilities.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare and manage project plans including manufacturing strategy, schedules, budgets, and technical documents for tenders and actual production.


• Collaborating with appropriate departments to develop business cases for new PerForM™ opportunities


• Performing technical & financial GAP analysis of technical proposals versus tender or contractual documents


• Developing, reviewing, evaluating, and recommending improvements to equipment and practices


• Ensuring compliance with local, national, and international standards and legislation


• Manage and monitor project plans and performing routine inspection of production schedules


• Review and approve quotation packages & facilitate procurement of PerForM™ equipment


• Responsible for customer and executive progress reporting


• Responsible for answering and clarifying technical design questions from equipment manufacturers


• Coordinate, review, and approve third party drilling rig equipment designs

 

 We require;

 

University degree in Mechanical, Electronic or Optical Engineering;

 

8 years or more direct work experience with project management for oil well equipment production

 

Proficiency with AutoCAD & Microsoft Office is essential;


• Experience with Navision and Inventor is an asset;


• Ability to converse and collaborate with multiple departments spanning multiple disciplines;


• Excellent grasp of diverse, fundamental engineering concepts and relationships;


• Practical experience with mechanical equipment;


• Highly motivated and self-directed capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal supervision;


• Ability to create and review technical documentation, including project plans, test procedures, and design documents;


• Ability to travel inter Country as some out of office work is required;


• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite; and,


• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
